Cancel subscription
You cancel the subscription yourself in the Dashboard — no email to support is needed and no advance notice period applies. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: until then everything continues unchanged, after which your displays no longer show any content.
Do you only want to get smaller rather than stop entirely? Then cancellation is not the right way — instead use Abo wechseln (switch subscription, i.e. downgrade to a smaller model), Screen entfernen (remove screen) or Instanzen entfernen (remove instances). You'll find all three right next door under Abrechnung (Billing).
Open Billing
Open my.rstv.app and go to Kontoeinstellungen. There, select the Abrechnung tab and then the Einstellungen tab.
- In the Dashboard, click Kontoeinstellungen and select the Abrechnung section.
- Switch to the Einstellungen tab.
Trigger cancellation
In the Einstellungen tab, the address and communication settings are on the left, and the Zahlungsadresse (payment address) is on the right. At the very bottom of this right-hand column you'll find the Abonnement kündigen (Cancel subscription) section.
- Scroll down in the right-hand column to Abonnement kündigen.
- Click the Abonnement kündigen button.
Confirm cancellation
A confirmation window opens. It shows the exact date up to which your displays will keep running — this is the end of the period you have already paid for. Read this date before you confirm.
- Abonnement kündigen (magenta) — the cancellation is triggered.
- Abbrechen (Cancel) — nothing happens, the subscription continues unchanged.
The cancellation affects the entire account, not a single display. After the end date, all displays of your account will no longer show any content.
What happens afterwards
- Until the stated date nothing changes: displays, playlists, layouts and apps continue running normally.
- No further invoice is issued for the next period.
- After the date, the subscription ends and the displays no longer show any content.
Restart after cancellation
A cancellation is not a one-way street: you can take out a subscription again at any time — both before the end date and afterwards. The path leads back to the same place, via Kontoeinstellungen › Abrechnung › Upgrade-Plan. The guide Switch subscription shows how selecting the model works.
