Create a Playlist

A Playlist is a sequence of content (images, videos, apps) that plays one after another on the screen. In this guide you create a Playlist, add content, set display durations and publish it.

With Playlists you control what plays, in which order and for how long. A Playlist can then be assigned to a screen or a zone in a Layout.

• You are logged in to my.rstv.app.
• The desired content already exists in the media library or as an app instance (or you create it beforehand).

• Open the Playlists section in the left navigation.
• Click „Neu Playlist" (New Playlist) at the top right.

• Give the Playlist a unique name.
• Click „Sichern" (Save) – you land directly in the Playlist editor.

In the editor you see the Playlist elements on the left and the content selection on the right.

• Add content: On the right, switch between Neueste (Latest), Mediathek (your media) and Apps (your app instances) and click an element to add it to the Playlist.
• Display duration: Set how long each element plays. For apps with multiple posts you can control the duration per post.
• Order: Drag the elements by the handle into the desired order.
• At the top you see the total duration, used storage and the number of elements. Use „Vorschau" (Preview) to check the result.

• Click „Veröffentlichen" (Publish) at the top right.
• Only a published Playlist can be played on a screen or in a Layout zone.
