Meeting Room

With the «Meeting Room» app, you embed a room's Outlook Exchange calendar and make it visible as a digital door sign: whether the room is free or occupied, which meetings are coming up and what equipment is available.

Show directly at the meeting room whether it is currently free and when the next meeting starts. The status is continuously pulled from the connected calendar.

Here is what Meeting Room looks like on the Screen, examples from real-world use:

• An active revolutionSCREEN account with access to my.rstv.app.
• A Microsoft account with access to the room's calendar.
• At least one configured Screen, ideally next to the door.

In the left sidebar, click «Apps» and then «zum App-Store» at the top.

Scroll to the «Alle» (All) list and click the «Meeting Room» tile. Use the category buttons to narrow down the list.

The app's detail view opens. If it is not installed yet, first click «Installiere». Then click «Neue Instanz» (New instance). «App Guide» opens a quick guide.

Under «Apps › Meine Apps» you see all instances of the app as tiles. With «Neue Instanz» at the top right you create another one, and by clicking a tile you open an existing one.

In the editor, hover over the title and click the pencil to give the instance a name. A new instance shows a red «Kein Name angegeben» (No name specified) until then. At the top right you choose whether the preview appears in portrait or landscape format.

At the very top of the settings is «Zugang» (Access). There you connect the instance to the Microsoft account. When the connection is active, it shows «logged in» and the connected account below. Use the pencil next to it to change the connection. Via «Kalender» you select the room's calendar.

All settings are on the left, and on the right you immediately see in the live preview how the instance looks on the Screen. Use the arrow next to the card to collapse the settings.

• Zugang (Access): the connected Microsoft account and, via «Kalender», the room calendar.
• Logo: select your own logo via «Bilder».
• Layout: arrangement of the display, e.g. «Left».
• Primary / Secondary font: fonts for title and text.
• Language: display language, e.g. «German».
• Scrollspeed: how fast long content scrolls, e.g. «Slow».
• Capacity: number of seats in the room, shown with a person symbol.
• Equipment: the room's equipment, a new line for each device, e.g. «Whiteboard» and «Beamer».
• Background color for status: available / occupied: color when the room is free (e.g. green) or occupied (e.g. red).
• Background image: optional image via «Bilder».

Save the instance at the top right with «Speichern & Schliessen» (Save & Close).

Add to a Playlist: Open the Playlist, select the «Apps» tab on the right, click the app and then the instance. The instance is added immediately.

Add to a Layout: Open the Layout and click the pencil on the desired section.

In the «Inhalt für Abschnitt bearbeiten» (Edit content for section) window, add the instance with «Inhalt hinzufügen» (Add content). On the right, for each element you set the schedule via «Täglich» (Daily).

Then click «Veröffentlichen» (Publish) in the Playlist or Layout. As long as it shows «Entwurf, Veröffentlichung erforderlich» (Draft, publishing required), the Screen still shows the old version.
