Swiftly

With the «Swiftly» app you write your own posts directly in my.rstv.app and play them out on your screens as a news channel, scheduled if you wish.

Swiftly is made for internal communication: product news, HR announcements such as welcomes and anniversaries, important notices or company news. You reach all employees through one channel, whether in the office or in production. One instance can contain any number of posts.

• Texts and images for your posts.
• At least one configured screen.

In the sidebar on the left click «Apps» and at the top «zum App-Store» (to the app store).

Scroll to the «Alle» (all) list and click the «Swiftly» tile. Use the category buttons to narrow down the list.

The app's detail view opens. If it is not yet installed, first click «Installiere» (install). Then click «Neue Instanz» (new instance). «App Guide» opens a quick guide.

Under «Apps › Meine Apps» (my apps) you see all instances of the app as tiles. With «Neue Instanz» (new instance) at the top right you create another one; clicking a tile opens an existing one.

In the editor, hover over the title and click the pencil to give the instance a name. A new instance shows «Kein Name angegeben» (no name given) in red until then. At the top right you choose whether the preview appears in portrait or landscape format.

On the left of the editor you choose between three areas: «Manage Posts», «New Posts» and «Settings & Preview» (appearance and preview).

Under «Manage Posts» you see all posts of the instance with creation date and schedule. Clicking a post opens it for editing. At the top you filter the list by date; with «Filter zurücksetzen» (reset filter) you show all of them again.

Under «New Posts» you enter the title and content. With «Verfeinere» (refine) you improve the text using artificial intelligence. Via «Lebensdauer einschalten» (enable lifespan) you set from when to when the post appears; with «Täglich» (daily) it repeats every day.

Further down, under «Media» you add an image (png or jpg, recommended width 1600 px, max. 8 MB), either by dropping it or via «Open Media». Under «URL eingeben» (enter URL) you store a web address. The address appears as a QR-Code that viewers can scan with their phone. With «Neuer Beitrag erstellen» (create new post) you create the post.

Under «Settings & Preview» you set the appearance. All settings are on the left, and on the right you see immediately in the live preview how the instance looks on the screen. With the arrow next to the card you collapse the settings.

• Layout: arrangement of image and text, e.g. «Image Left, Text Right».
• Logo: choose your own logo via «Bilder» (images).
• Text / background color: colors for text and background. With × you reset a color.
• Primary / secondary font: fonts for title and text.
• Language: display language, e.g. for the date.
• Posts: number of displayed posts.
• Duration: display time per post in seconds.
• Default image: replacement image when a post has no image of its own.
• Stretch image: fills the image area completely; images may be cropped.
• Show date: displays the date of the post.
• Show QR Code: displays the QR-Code for the stored URL.
• Ticker: shows the posts as scrolling ticker text.

You reach the last switches by scrolling down in the card.

Swiftly shows several posts one after another per instance. If you add the instance to a playlist or layout, you set how long it runs via the element duration. To do this, click the element's duration. This logic applies to all apps with multiple posts per instance.

In the «Elementdauer bearbeiten!» (edit element duration) window a switch decides between two variants. It is usually called «pro Post» (per post), and for presentations «pro Slide» (per slide). With «Confirm» you apply the setting.

Variant 1: switch OFF (total duration)
The set time applies to the whole instance. Example 00:01:00: the instance runs for one minute. The posts change one after another during this time and start over from the beginning if needed. So not necessarily all posts appear.

Variant 2: switch ON (duration per post)
The set time applies to each post. Example 00:00:10 with 12 posts: each post appears for exactly 10 seconds, and the instance runs for 2 minutes in total. The list then shows «pro Post» or «pro Slide» below the duration.

Save the instance at the top right with «Speichern & Schliessen» (save & close).

Add to a playlist: Open the playlist, select the «Apps» tab on the right, click the app and then the instance. The instance is added immediately.

Add to a layout: Open the layout and click the pencil on the desired section.

In the «Inhalt für Abschnitt bearbeiten» (edit content for section) window you add the instance with «Inhalt hinzufügen» (add content). On the right of each element you set the schedule via «Täglich» (daily).

Then click «Veröffentlichen» (publish) in the playlist or layout. As long as it still says «Entwurf, Veröffentlichung erforderlich» (draft, publishing required), the screen still shows the old state.
