Involve

With the «Involve» app, you bring posts from the Swiss employee app Involve directly onto your screens. News from your channels appears automatically with image, author, channel, as well as likes and comments, without duplicate maintenance.

Many employees don't have a phone at hand during their workday, for example in production, in care, or in sales. With the app, the posts you publish in Involve also appear on the screens in the workshop, staff restaurant, reception, or branch. Via the channels, you decide which posts run on which screen.

• An active revolutionSCREEN account with access to my.rstv.app.
• A free Premium instance for Involve, see «Premium-Instanz hinzufügen» (Add premium instance).
• An Involve account with the address of your Involve environment (e.g. https://firma.app.involve.ch) as well as username and password. You get the access for the interface from Involve or your Involve administration.
• At least one configured screen.

In the sidebar on the left, click «Apps» and at the top «zum App-Store» (to the Appstore).

Scroll to the «Alle» (All) list and click the «Involve» tile. Use the category buttons to narrow down the list.

The detail view of the app opens. If it's not yet installed, first click «Installiere» (Install). Then click «Neue Instanz» (New instance). «App Guide» opens a quick guide.

Involve is a premium app. If no free premium instance is available in your subscription anymore, the notice «Premium Instance Limit Reached» appears after «Neue Instanz» (New instance). With «Add Premium Instances» you purchase an additional instance. More on this under Installing premium apps.

Alternatively, open the account settings, select «Abrechnung» (Billing) on the left, the «Apps» tab at the top, and click «Instanz(en) hinzufügen» (Add instance(s)).

In the «Neue Instanz/Service zu deinem Abonnement hinzufügen» (Add new instance/service to your subscription) window, enter the desired quantity for «Involve» and click «Bestätigen» (Confirm). You then see the summary with payment method and term and confirm a second time. The instance is available immediately.

Under «Apps › Meine Apps» (My Apps), you see all instances of the app as tiles. With «Neue Instanz» (New instance) at the top right you create another one, and with a click on a tile you open an existing one.

In the editor, hover over the title and click the pencil to give the instance a name. A new instance shows «Kein Name angegeben» (No name given) in red until then. At the top right you choose whether the preview appears in portrait or landscape format.

At the very top of the settings is «Access» or «Zugang». For a new instance, click «Einloggen» (Log in).

The «Deine Konten» (Your accounts) window opens. The first time, select «Neue Verbindung hinzufügen» (Add new connection) and fill in these fields:

• Name: a freely chosen label for this access, e.g. «Involve Mitarbeiterinfos». You'll find it again under this name later.
• Domain: the address of your Involve environment, e.g. https://firma.app.involve.ch.
• Username and Password: the credentials of your Involve access for the interface.

With «Weiter» (Next), the connection is saved and connected to the instance.

If you've already created an access, e.g. for another instance, select the desired account in the «Konto auswählen» (Select account) tab and click «Weiter» (Next). You edit or delete saved accesses under «Settings / Credentials».

If the connection is active, it shows «logged in» with the name of the access. With the pencil on the right you switch to a different access.

On the left are all the settings, on the right you immediately see in the live preview how the instance looks on the screen. With the arrow next to the card you collapse the settings.

• Zugang (Access): connected Involve access (status «logged in»).
• Logo: choose your own logo via «Bilder» (Images).
• Layout: structure of the display, e.g. «Image Left, Text Right».
• Textfarbe / Hintergrundfarbe (Text color / Background color): colors for text and background. With × you reset a color.
• Primäre / Sekundäre Schriftart (Primary / Secondary font): fonts for title and text.
• Sprache (Language): language of the fixed texts on the screen.
• Beiträge (Posts): number of displayed posts.
• Dauer (Duration): display time per post in seconds.
• Kanäle (Channels): Involve channels from which posts appear, e.g. «News», «Personelles», or «Pinnwand». This way each screen shows exactly the appropriate posts.
• Standardbild (Default image): replacement image when a post contains no image of its own.
• Bild strecken (Stretch image): fills the image area completely; images can be cropped in the process.
• Kanal anzeigen / Author anzeigen (Show channel / Show author): shows or hides the channel or the author of the post.

Save the instance at the top right with «Speichern & Schliessen» (Save & Close).

Insert into a Playlist: Open the Playlist, select the «Apps» tab on the right, click the app and then the instance. The instance is added immediately.

Insert into a Layout: Open the Layout and click the pencil on the desired section.

In the «Inhalt für Abschnitt bearbeiten» (Edit content for section) window, add the instance with «Inhalt hinzufügen» (Add content). On the right of each element, set the schedule via «Täglich» (Daily).

Then click «Veröffentlichen» (Publish) in the Playlist or Layout. As long as it shows «Entwurf, Veröffentlichung erforderlich» (Draft, publishing required), the screen still shows the old state.

Involve shows several posts in sequence per instance. If you insert the instance into a Playlist or Layout, you set how long it runs via the element duration. To do so, click the element's duration. This logic applies to all apps with multiple posts per instance.

In the «Elementdauer bearbeiten!» window, the toggle decides between two options. It is usually called «pro Post», or «pro Slide» for presentations. Use «Confirm» to apply the setting.

Option 1: Toggle OFF (total duration)
The set time applies to the entire instance. Example 00:01:00: the instance runs for one minute. The posts switch one after another during this time and start over if needed. This means not all posts necessarily appear.

Option 2: Toggle ON (duration per post)
The set time applies to each post. Example 00:00:10 with 12 posts: each post appears for exactly 10 seconds, and the instance runs for a total of 2 minutes. In the list, the duration then shows «pro Post» or «pro Slide».
