Beekeeper Posts

With the «Beekeeper Posts» app you connect your Beekeeper account to revolutionSCREEN. Posts from your Beekeeper streams appear automatically on your screens.

Bring messages from the employee app onto your screens without duplicate work, e.g. news, menu plans or the internal marketplace. As soon as a new post appears in Beekeeper, revolutionSCREEN picks it up.

This is what Beekeeper Posts looks like on the screen, examples from real use:

• An active revolutionSCREEN account with access to my.rstv.app.
• «Beekeeper Posts» is a premium app (crown in the Appstore) and must be enabled for your account.
• A Beekeeper account with access to the desired streams.
• At least one configured screen.

In the sidebar on the left, click «Apps» and at the top click «zum App-Store» (to the Appstore).

Scroll to the «Alle» (All) list and click the «Beekeeper Posts» tile. Use the category buttons to narrow down the list.

The app's detail view opens. If it is not yet installed, first click «Installiere» (Install). Then click «Neue Instanz» (New instance). «App Guide» opens a quick guide.

Under «Apps › Meine Apps» (My apps) you see all instances of the app as tiles. Use «Neue Instanz» (New instance) at the top right to create another one, and click a tile to open an existing one.

In the editor, hover over the title and click the pencil to give the instance a name. A new instance shows «Kein Name angegeben» (No name given) in red until then. At the top right you choose whether the preview appears in portrait or landscape format.

At the very top of the settings is «Zugang» (Access). For a new instance you log in there with your Beekeeper account. Once the connection is active, it shows «logged in» with the name of the account. Use the pencil on the right to switch accounts.

On the left are all settings, on the right you immediately see in the live preview how the instance looks on the screen. Use the arrow next to the card to collapse the settings.

• Zugang (Access): connected Beekeeper account (status «logged in»).
• Logo: choose your own logo via «Bilder» (Images).
• Layout: arrangement of image and text, e.g. «Image Left, Text Right».
• Textfarbe / Hintergrundfarbe (Text colour / Background colour): colours for text and background. Use × to reset a colour.
• Primäre / Sekundäre Schriftart (Primary / Secondary font): fonts for title and text.
• Sprache (Language): language of the displayed posts.
• Beiträge (Posts): number of posts displayed.
• Dauer (Duration): display time per post in seconds.
• Streams: which Beekeeper streams are shown.
• Nach Labels filtern (Filter by labels): shows only posts with certain labels. Separate multiple entries with commas.
• Standardbild (Default image): fallback image when a post has no image of its own.
• Bild strecken (Stretch image): fills the image area completely; images may be cropped in the process.
• Stream / Author / QR Code anzeigen (show Stream / Author / QR Code): show or hide individual elements per post.

You reach the last fields by scrolling down in the card.

Beekeeper Posts shows several posts one after another per instance. When you place the instance in a Playlist or a Layout, you use the element duration to define how long it runs. To do so, click the element's duration. This logic applies to all apps with multiple posts per instance.

In the «Elementdauer bearbeiten!» (Edit element duration) window, the toggle decides between two variants. It is usually called «pro Post» (per post), and for presentations «pro Slide» (per slide). Use «Confirm» to apply the setting.

Variant 1: toggle OFF (total duration)
The set time applies to the whole instance. Example 00:01:00: the instance runs for one minute. During this time the posts cycle through in order and start over if needed. So not necessarily all posts will appear.

Variant 2: toggle ON (duration per post)
The set time applies to each post. Example 00:00:10 with 12 posts: each post appears for exactly 10 seconds, and the instance runs for a total of 2 minutes. In the list the duration then shows «pro Post» or «pro Slide».

Save the instance at the top right with «Speichern & Schliessen» (Save & close).

Add to a Playlist: Open the Playlist, select the «Apps» tab on the right, click the app and then the instance. The instance is added immediately.

Add to a Layout: Open the Layout and click the pencil at the desired section.

In the «Inhalt für Abschnitt bearbeiten» (Edit content for section) window, use «Inhalt hinzufügen» (Add content) to add the instance. On the right of each element you set the schedule via «Täglich» (Daily).

Then click «Veröffentlichen» (Publish) in the Playlist or Layout. As long as it shows «Entwurf, Veröffentlichung erforderlich» (Draft, publishing required), the screen still shows the old state.
