Beekeeper Posts
Beekeeper Posts · Premium — connects your Beekeeper account with revolutionSCREEN. Posts from your Beekeeper Streams are shown automatically on the displays, so your workforce stays up to date at all times.
Purpose
With the Beekeeper integration, you bring announcements from the employee intranet onto the screens without duplicate work – e.g. news, menu plans or the internal marketplace. As soon as a new post appears in Beekeeper, revolutionSCREEN picks it up automatically.
Use cases
This is what Beekeeper Posts looks like on the screen – examples in use:
Prerequisites
- An active revolutionSCREEN account with access to my.rstv.app.
- An existing Beekeeper account incl. login credentials.
- At least one configured screen for playback.
- Since Beekeeper is a Premium app: the corresponding activation in your account.
Install the app
Open my.rstv.app and go to Apps. In the Alle (All) list, find the Beekeeper Posts tile (category Internal communication · News · Office tools) and click it.

The detail page opens. If the app is not installed yet, first click Installieren (Install). Then (or if it already says Installiert/Installed) click Neue Instanz (New instance).

An instance is a specific, configured output of the app – i.e. a connected Beekeeper source with its display settings. You can create multiple instances (e.g. per stream) and assign them to different screens.
Manage instances
After clicking, you land in the app's instance management. Here you see existing instances and create another one with Neue Instanz (New instance, top right).

Connect & configure Beekeeper
In the editor, enter an instance name at the top and choose Tags as well as the format. On the left, under Zugang (Access), sign in with your Beekeeper account via einloggen (log in) – once the connection is active, it shows logged in. On the right, the live preview runs.

The settings in the left area – field by field:
- Zugang (Access): connected Beekeeper account (status logged in).
- Logo: choose your own logo via Bilder (Images).
- Layout: arrangement of image and text, e.g. image left, text right.
- Text color / Background color: colors of the board (e.g. text
#FFFFFF, background#000000). - Primary / Secondary font: fonts for title and body text (e.g. Exo 2 / Roboto Mono).
- Language: display language of the posts.
- Posts: number of displayed posts (e.g. 12).
- Duration (in seconds): display time per post (e.g. 10).
- Streams: which Beekeeper streams are shown (e.g. All Selected = all).
- Filter by labels: show only posts with certain labels (separated by commas).
- Default image: fallback image when a post has no image of its own.
- Stretch image: scale the image to fill the format (toggle).
- Show stream / author / QR code: show or hide individual elements.

If no content appears, check whether the Beekeeper account is connected and whether the selected Streams contain posts. Also make sure there is enough contrast between text and background color.
Display duration in Playlist & Layout
Beekeeper Posts shows multiple posts in sequence per instance. When you add the instance to a Playlist or a Layout, you control how long it runs via the element duration. To do this, click the duration of the app element in the playlist.
Note: This logic applies to all apps with multiple posts per instance – e.g. ahead, SharePoint or Beekeeper.

In the Elementdauer bearbeiten (Edit element duration) dialog, the pro Post (per post) toggle decides between two variants:
Variant 1: per post = OFF (total duration)
The set time is the total duration of the instance. Example 00:01:40 (100 seconds): the instance is shown for 100 seconds. Within this time the posts run through one after another and start over if needed – so depending on the time, not all posts are necessarily shown (or some are shown multiple times).

Variant 2: per post = ON (duration per post)
The set time applies per post. Example 00:00:10: each post is shown for exactly 10 seconds. With 12 posts, all 12 posts are shown at 10 seconds each (total duration 120 seconds). This ensures that every post really appears.

Should every post be guaranteed to appear? Turn on per post and set seconds per post. Fixed timing (e.g. for the timing of a Playlist)? Leave per post off and set a total duration.
Save & play on the screen
- Name the instance, connect Beekeeper, set streams and appearance.
- Save it via Speichern & Schliessen (Save & Close) at the top right.
- The instance is now available under the app.
- Assign it to your screen – directly as content or embedded in a Layout or a Playlist.
- At the next sync, the Beekeeper posts appear on the display and update automatically.
Tips & troubleshooting
Preview stays empty
Connect your Beekeeper account via einloggen (log in) and check whether the Streams contain posts.
Too many / wrong posts
Narrow down the sources via Streams or filter by labels.
No image in the post
Set a default image – it steps in when a post has no image of its own.
Posts don't appear
Check whether the instance is assigned to the right screen/Layout and the Player is online.
