Quick guide to setting up an iiyama Digital Signage display
Set the language
Select the language that suits you from the available options. Confirm your selection and use the right arrow key on the remote control to move to the next menu item.

Choose the mode
- Leave [Modus wählen] (choose mode) on Normal. A password is only needed if you want to lock channel switching – you can usually leave these two fields blank.
- Under [Drehung des Systems] (system rotation), select the orientation of your display. For a horizontally mounted device, choose Querformat (landscape), for portrait mounting choose Hochformat (portrait).
The orientation selected here must match the actual mounting of the device. The ventilation and thus the cooling of the device is based on this setting.

Network
Select the type of internet connection. Connect the device via an Ethernet cable if possible. If the display is to be connected via Wi-Fi, select WLAN and press the OK button.
Wired connection
If you connect your device to the internet via an Ethernet cable, the next step is unnecessary. However, make sure that all cables are connected correctly and that the router is connected to the internet.

Select Wi-Fi
Select your wireless network from the list of found networks. If the network you intend to use does not appear in the list, check the following:
- Is the router switched on?
- Is the device close enough to the router/transmitter?
- Is the network actually available? (Test with other devices)
Press the OK button to connect to the network, then enter the Wi-Fi password. Wait until the verification is complete and the connection is established.

Connection confirmed
After you have successfully entered the password, the status Verbunden (connected) appears next to the selected network. Continue with the next menu item.

Cloning
You can usually skip this step. Via [Klonen der Mediendateien vom USB-Speicher] (clone media files from USB storage) you can transfer settings and content from a USB stick – handy if you want to set up several devices identically.

Signage
Here you connect the device to the server. Fill in the fields as follows:
- [Signage-Display Name]: a unique name for the device (e.g. the predefined device ID).
- [Konto/Organisations-ID] (account/organisation ID): your organisation ID.
- [Server-Adresse] (server address): the address of your management server.
- [Speicherpfad] (storage path): leave it on Interne Speicherung (internal storage).

Home screen
Once the initial setup is complete, you arrive at the display's home screen. From here you can access [Quelle] (source), [Mediaplayer], [iSignage] and the [Einstellungen] (settings), among others.

App overview
Via the app menu you can access further tools such as [iControl] for remote management, [QuickSupport], the [Browser] or the [File Manager].

Connect to the server
- Open the server connection application.
- Under [Serveradresse] (server address), enter the address of your management server (e.g. iiyama-dms.com).
- Under [Administratorkonto] (administrator account), enter your account name (e.g. revolutionscreen).
- Confirm with [Server verbinden] (connect server).
Then open the administrator account to register the device.

Account connected
Once the connection is established, the message [Derzeit mit dem Kontohintergrund revolutionscreen verbunden] (currently connected to the account revolutionscreen) appears. Via [Konto wechseln] (switch account) you can assign the device to another account if needed.

Set up the device
In the setup area you can adjust the [Gerätename] (device name), open the [Permission Management] and check the stored [Serveradresse] (server address). Via [Prüfen auf Aktualisierungen] (check for updates) you bring the device up to date.

Permissions (Permission Management)
Under [Permission Management] you set the device's permissions. For reliable operation, we recommend the following settings:
- Enable Automatic connection to server authorisation so that the device logs in to the server automatically.
- Enable Screen Display to be able to view the screen content remotely.
- Enable Screen Control Authorization to allow remote control of the device.
