Gallery for Instagram Creators

Gallery for Instagram Creators — automatically plays posts from an Instagram creator account on the screen.

Purpose

Requirements

  • An active revolutionSCREEN account with access to my.rstv.app.
  • An Instagram creator account.
  • At least one configured screen for playout.

What is an instance?

An instance is a specific, configured output of the app – a connected Instagram creator account with its display settings. You can create several instances and assign them to different screens.

Manage instances

After clicking, you land in the app's instance management. Here you see existing instances and create another one with Neue Instanz (New instance, top right).

Instance management: create "Neue Instanz" (New instance) at the top right.

Connect & configure Instagram

In the editor, use einloggen (log in) to connect your Instagram creator account (status logged in) and set the layout, number of posts and appearance. The live preview runs on the right.

The settings in the left area – field by field:

  • Access: connect with your Instagram account via einloggen (log in; status logged in).
  • Layout: display style (e.g. single or gallery).
  • Primary / secondary font: fonts for title and body text.
  • Language: display language of the content.
  • Posts: number of posts shown.
  • Duration (in seconds): display time per post.
  • Show videos / user profile / likes: show/hide individual elements.
Connect account

This app requires a login with your Instagram account (on the left under Access → einloggen / log in). If no content or an authentication message appears, the connection has expired – simply re-authenticate.

Display duration in playlist & layout

Gallery for Instagram Creators shows multiple posts in sequence per instance. If you place the instance in a Playlist or a Layout, you control how long it runs via the element duration. To do this, click the duration of the app element in the playlist.

Note: This logic applies to all apps with multiple posts per instance.

In the Elementdauer bearbeiten (Edit element duration) dialog, the pro Post (per post) toggle decides between two variants:

Variant 1: pro Post = OFF (total duration)

The set time is the total duration of the instance. Example 00:01:40 (100 seconds): The instance is displayed for 100 seconds. The posts run through in sequence during this time and start over again if needed – so depending on the time, not all posts are necessarily shown (or some are shown more than once).

pro Post = OFF: the time applies as the total duration of the instance.
pro Post = OFF: the time applies as the total duration of the instance.

Variant 2: pro Post = ON (duration per post)

The set time applies per post. Example 00:00:10: Each post is shown for exactly 10 seconds. With 12 posts, all 12 posts are shown for 10 seconds each (total duration 120 seconds). This ensures that every post really appears.

pro Post = ON: the time applies per post – all posts are shown.
pro Post = ON: the time applies per post – all posts are shown.
Rule of thumb

Should every post appear reliably? Turn on pro Post (per post) and set the seconds per post. Fixed time specification (e.g. for the timing of a playlist)? Leave pro Post off and set the total duration.

Save & play on the screen

  1. Name the instance and configure it as desired.
  2. Save at the top right with Speichern & Schliessen (Save & close).
  3. The instance is now available under the app.
  4. Assign it to your screen – directly as content or embedded in a Layout or a Playlist.
  5. At the next sync, the content appears on the display.
